lol
very good blog post
I especially like this first shot. :-)
I’ve added some items to the SugarSync folder for you, including the link to the Canon video I played. (See the “making of” doc on it!)
I showed Kat how to calibrate her PC laptop at her request. I’ve put the free software from XRite into the SugarSync folder also, for those who might want to also calibrate their laptops. (I’d be willing to be I have the only calibration system on campus.)
Here’s a link for the i1 Display 2 from B+H Photo I mentioned in class:

Wow! Note there’s a rebate on it until June 30, saving $25. :-) The free shipping is unlikely to be to Hawaii, but you can check. (Often it’s only the 48 states on the mainland.)
I’d highly recommend B+H as a vendor. You have a variety of ways to ship to Hawaii with them (including by mail). My students will group buy, placing one order and saving on the shipping for each person that way. :-)
Note that because most of their workers are Hasidic Jews, they’re closed for Shabbat, plus Jewish holidays. :-)
If you want to be ahead of the game for my teaching on calibrating your cameras see this recorded webinar (very well done), their most recent on the subject:

If you don’t understand all of it, just let the info wash over you. :-)
To understand about using profiles for printing with profiles (calibration of not just monitor, but for printing), see:

Typically these webinars are about an hour.
