Evernote [excellent infographic]

Evernote is a company that provides a software and services for archiving data, taking notes and syncing all your computers and devices together so that all your data is easily accessible. In the past we would keep all or the majority of data on our computers or laptops with some kind of external backup on a hard drive or disc. In these days of smartphones and tablets where we have multiple devices that can function in almost every single way that a computer can- we want to be able to access all our data from any location and not have to worry about which device we have on us at that time. For example, say you are taking snaps on your smartphone, all you need to do is make sure you have the app running and it will automatically upload all the photos to an archive at the Evernote server. How simple can it get?

Evernote is becoming popular very quickly with it recently passing the 10 million registered users mark and now at almost 14 milliion. Over half million (and growing) of these are premium users utilising the low cost package of $5 per month.

IOIX, one of the leading web marking firms in Japan, has created this stunning infographic about Evernote as it’s now hugely popular not only in the US and Europe, but also in Japan.

If you are also one of the 10 million Evernote users then do share with us your thoughts about it in the comments section below!

The funniest thing I’ve read in weeks

This is from a book which is now #6 ranked for humor on Amazon. I follow the guy who compiled the humor on Twitter, Andy Borowitz.

I was laughing out loud (and soon Jo was, too, once I'd forwarded it to her on the other side of the room on her PowerBook), and crying from laughing.

I’ve literally bought dozens of the excellent ebooks from Take Control. I’ve never regretted a dollar I spent on any of them. Their newest, on iCloud by Joe Kissel, one of my favorite writers in their stable, is out today.

I found a discount coupon for Take Control books at

http://www.retailmenot.com/view/takecontrolbooks.com

that took off 10% of the price. (I’ve very often been able to get up to 50% off.)

That code is:
